Shantell is probably one of Brooklyn’s most prolific artists. It’s a good thing, too, because her art is highly unique and fun, and we can always use these things in abundance. We’ve always admired her work from afar, here, we got to visit her studio in personal close-ups. A wonderful creature of British accents and intriguing insights, Shantell was a pleasure to interview.
Shantell Martin is a UK-raised artist who has lived in London, Tokyo, and now, Brooklyn in New York. Her internationally acclaimed work focuses on drawing and light animation. She speaks all over the world at conferences and festivals, and her bedroom was recently featured in The New York Times.

Very awesome Tiff! Rather serendipitously, she just spent the last week decorating a wall in my office.
Wow Rachel! Coincidence? I hope you got to meet her… she’s amazing!
